Above all, be careful that you do not fall into the mistake of valuing yourselves higher than you are to the Godhead .... This will always mean a lack of love for God, because only those who feel small can find the highest concept of love in God and become a true child of God. It is still left to the human being to create his own relationship with the eternal Godhead ..... As he looks at himself, so will be the behavior towards the Godhead. A child with the right will can completely hand himself over to the Father and then, standing under the influence of Divine Love, can only always make strong use of earthly life for eternity. ....
Cast all your cares on the Lord .... If only you would take this to heart .... To know that there is One Who can avert everything .... and then to be able to make oneself worthy of His help, is a comforting thought that makes life on earth much easier to bear .... There is still time for inner repentance, for God's mercy and longsuffering have no limits .... Again and again He tries to make people pay attention and intervenes here and there by strokes of fate among the people, so that everyone should pay attention to an invisible hand and a supernatural power ..... Who always gives only a little space to such thoughts in himself which point upwards, will gain recognition easily; but there are so excessively many who cannot tear themselves away from the world even for moments .... who accept everything with the greatest matter-of-factness and never seek a spiritual explanation for any occurrences ....
There it is unspeakably difficult for the spirit-beings to get into connection with them for spiritual work. In order to come to the aid of these innumerable souls, even worse things will have to happen on earth, if a small spark of light is to flash upon them and their thinking is to be stimulated. Behold, there the Lord must intervene with increased power .... He must awaken the sluggards from their sleep and instruct them in their work so that they do not perish in spiritual inertia. But also then again only a small part of them will take hold of the lifeline and let themselves be guided on the ground of recognition ....
And so the stiff-necked ones will be exposed to nameless misery in the last time .... Terror and panic will reign among the indolent, for all these are God's creatures .... all these He wants to save from their misery and can do this only in such a way that the freedom of the will in man remains inviolable. If the Lord has spoken so manifestly, and people carelessly pass by this call of mercy, then the gate of life will remain closed to those, and their portion will be death and destruction, for they carelessly rejected God's love ....
Now mankind has been given a clear picture of what is about to befall them at all times, and yet they have remained the same - incorrigible in their actions, because they do not respect the Word of God for what it is .... But when this word will be fulfilled, then the possibility is still offered to turn back, and you will be accepted in the last hour .... Therefore open your eyes and ears when the Lord speaks to you, and heed these His words .... For His word is truth and life ....
