To become free from all matter, is the task of earthly existence. If the Lord has given you this task and you now use your earthly life and strive to fulfill the task with full will, you will become free from everything that is impure - and thus form yourselves - into a being which, after having left the body of flesh, may truly pass over into the kingdom on the other side in light and brightness. And only now the soul will be introduced into the new activity, and this according to it's ability to influence again spiritually the beings who still dwell in spiritual darkness, both on earth and in the hereafter.
The new task corresponds completely to the previous activity in the spiritual life. The soul will again have to be extremely busy to be able to do it's waiting work in the hereafter, and therefore it is of extraordinary advantage if it's life on earth was also a life used to work, if it has also always used it earthly and has never given in to physical sluggishness .... For much more assiduous work is to begin, since it is necessary to fight against the spiritual misery and to bring help everywhere, where the soul is not respected properly and therefore an agonizing state is it's lot. On the other hand, such wonderful glories are offered to the being in the hereafter, that the relationship of the child to the Father now finds a tangible reward. ....
All happiness of love will flow through the being, and it's devotion to the Saviour will therefore mean unlimited happiness, but always be thought of in the same measure of the poor struggling souls, to whom their thoughts apply again and again and again and so as the soul now receives through the love of God, so it also constantly passes on love .... it turns this to those who are still without recognition, and now seeks for it's part to ease the agony for these and to likewise draw them up into the regions of light and peace. And nothing having it's origin in love, is therefore without success .... nothing having love as driving force, is done in vain, and inevitably love must have a redeeming effect, both on earth as well as in the hereafter ....
