People often lack the strength to live, and that because they desire too little strength from God, that they try to master everything by themselves, but against strong adversities, their own strength is not sufficient and they should therefore seek help from the origin of every event. Whether distress and worry come over man through his own fault, or whether God Himself sends them suffering to be tested, the strength from God must always be requested if this distress is to give way. But man has lost this knowledge that God only wants to make Himself known through suffering, so that man remembers Him and takes refuge in Him. The will is extraordinarily weakened, so that it often lets itself be dominated by the distress situation with indifference and without resistance, instead of wanting to fight everything difficult and to call on God's help for this.
If God is called upon for help, he will succeed in freeing himself, both from the lethargy of the spirit and the captivity of the soul .... For the will for self-liberation will become strong. The basic evil must always be removed first, the will must be freed again from the power of the adversary who has bound it, then it will express itself again according to the will of God. And again, man must come to the Father of his own accord in his greatest distress ..... He must pray, because only prayer in spirit and in truth can reach God, and only this prayer can be answered by God. The sigh for strength can be sent up to the Father in the greatest distress ..... The more intimately and imploringly it rises to the heights, the more surely it will be heard. For God waits for this call coming from the heart ....
God wants the child on earth to reach out to Him in desire, He wants it to recognize it's own weakness and surrender to the Father in heaven .... that it desires to make use of His love and grace. .... He wants it to come to Him in every need .... because He is willing to distribute His power if it is only desired. Receive God into your hearts, recognize that He is near you and only waits until your heart turns to Him. Do not seek Him in the distance, but open your heart and hear His voice ....
He speaks to you like a loving father and will comfort you when you present your trouble to Him, because He is Love and Love wants to help you, but you have to desire it with an alert spirit, you have to request the power from God at every hour, for every action and in every situation in life ..... You must ask God for salvation from the misery which you have caused yourselves, by also granting the adversary power over you and thereby weakening your will. Ask God sincerely for deliverance from his power, and you will truly do no wrong ....
