It is a great danger and a great injustice that you attach your heart too much to Mammon and therefore do not detach yourselves from matter, but strive to increase it. And your thinking and striving will always only be for the increase of earthly good, and so you also do not pay attention to the signs that announce the approaching judgment. You live in a world of desires, of wanting the treasures of this earth, and you forget that these draw you down again towards the banished state. Earthly life is given to you to have the opportunity to free yourselves from such desires, but you use it to increase, you let yourselves be captured more and more and don't consider the dreadful consequences. And your thinking is a blinded one, because you also no longer recognize the root of all evil, you cannot distinguish the lie from truth, you rejoice in every earthly success, and your spiritual state declines.
It cannot become light for you, where you yourselves feel well in the darkness. Because you fight the light, you close yourselves to the instructions from above, and you rage against yourselves, if you do not pay attention to the voice of God, which would like to give you information about your wrongful direction of will. You only accept what corresponds to your love, and since your love is for the world and it's goods, you take offense that these are marked as evil. And you reject the Word of God, which is supposed to be your salvation from greatest trouble. You turn all attention to earthly events and do not consider that these events are the result of wrongful thoughts and desires.
And what you could easily overcome, if your will would be turned towards God, that will now cost you a bitter fight, you will have to give it up unwillingly, and a horror will seize you in view of the values which fall prey to destruction. And if you then recognize the worthlessness of earthly goods, you are saved, but woe to those whose heart still cannot separate from the goods of the world ..... They can no longer be saved on earth, because they are still too much connected to matter and God is still too far away for them to recognize His rule. The one who fights against all earthly desires, will have an advantage, because he will also recognize the meaning and purpose of all events for the further education of the soul.
But who always only sees the world and wants to avert the damage in an only purely earthly way, he still lacks the right knowledge, his thinking is erroneous, and he will move further and further away from truth, because he does not seek and desire it, but is firmly connected with what is part of the adversary. His train of thought is erroneous, and consequently all conclusions will also be in error, until he stifles his desire for earthly goods and desires only spiritual goods. Only then can he become enlightened, and only then can he recognize the cause of the physical and spiritual decline of mankind ....
