A sure sign of the desire for truth ....

The core of truth can only be found when it is consciously desired. People believe that whatever seems acceptable to them is always the truth, and since people are willing to accept it in different ways, there must therefore be different truths. But the pure truth always and forever remains the same. And he who strives for it cannot walk in error. But when does a person strive for truth .... when every person thinks they desire nothing other than the truth? A sure characteristic of the desire for truth is the willing surrender of what the person has previously regocnized as truth and a willing opening of the heart to receive the truth from above. He expresses his will for the pure truth, for he will always regocnize a certain lack in all traditions, he will now know how to distinguish the work of man from that which comes directly from above. And if he is only interested in the pure truth he must first of all discard everything of human origin. He must adhere exactly to the divine word he has received and try as little as possible to make spiritual property of what has been imparted to his fellow human beings in a scholastic way. He must remain extremely consistent, i.e. always let the word from above speak to him first before he regocnizes the transformed word as truth. He must have a certain certainty towards the opponent who represents the often changed word that does not correspond to divine will. He must not be satisfied with his intellectual thinking but always and everywhere seek God's advice and thus always desire the strength from God in order to regocnize the purest truth, and he must be willing to surrender his preconceived opinions if they do not correspond to what is commanded from above ....
