Attitude towards the question of Jesus' divinity ....

It is always up to the human being to take an affirmative or negative stance on the question of Jesus' divinity, but the consequences of his attitude will be equally contradictory .... greatest spiritual success or deepest darkness, i.e. complete spiritual failure. This question alone is decisive for the spiritual state of the human being when he concludes his earthly life. If he affirms Jesus' divinity then he has also lived his life consciously, i.e. he has knowingly accepted the strength and grace of the work of redemption, which is, however, impossible if he rejects this question. Only God can give power and only the person who regocnizes God can receive it. Through His death on the cross, however, the divine saviour has earned the human being the right to enter into direct contact with God Himself and thus to be able to ask for and receive strength without measure. And this power promotes higher spiritual development .... The utilization of the work of grace and redemption is also the guarantee for the attainment of spiritual maturity. However, it must understandably remain at a low spiritual level who lays no claim to these graces, who denies the work of redemption as well as the divine saviour Himself, for he lacks strength .... His will is still bound by the adversary and his power over him is so great that he cannot become free through his own strength, but he rejects the only help and does not even regocnize that there is a helper .... So he still stands where people stood before the lord's descent, he is completely enslaved to the adversary and his will is too weakened to turn to God. And even if he had the will, the adversary's power over him is still unbroken and his struggle would therefore be in vain. Thus faith in the divine saviour is first necessary and the will to affirmatively accept His work of redemption. Only then will he receive the strength that enables him to work on himself and his soul. Self-refinement can be tackled countless times, without faith in Jesus Christ as the son of God and saviour of the world the human being will always fall back into his weaknesses and faults, for he lacks the support which helps him to pull against the enemy .... Who has, as it were, redeemed his soul from the power of the adversary with His blood, thus removing it from his influence. A willing person who is turned towards God, who lives in God and therefore regocnizes God Himself in Jesus Christ, has his further path through life so marked out that he can no longer go astray. He reaches the heights safely because the adversary can no longer place any obstacles in his way. His power is broken by the love of the lord, Who sacrificed Himself for people so that the path upwards became easier for them and they ---people--- are able to shape themselves such that they leave earthly life as true children of the father in heaven and can now be redemptively active in the beyond ....
