When is the word of God ineffective ....

It is unspeakably wrong to want to pay attention to the transmissions from above only insofar as that only the extraordinary of their origin is taken into consideration, but a deep immersion is out of the question .... The word of God is then ineffective, again only earthly problems are touched upon and only information about such is demanded, but the actual meaning of the divine mission is not grasped. Very few people are willing to decide in favour of God and give up the earthly and therefore only a few will be able to feel the power of the divine word in themselves, as they can only be imparted something which they themselves desire deeply. And they, in turn, can only desire the strength from God when God's love has become understandable to them through the word of God and they now desire to be united with this love. But as long as the programmes from above do not make this divine love visible to people, they will not trigger the desire for God either, thus the strength from God will not be consciously requested. But people, who only ever pay attention to earthly events, also only try to find a solution to earthly problems in such extraordinary evidence of divine love, but they do not touch spiritual problems and thus no strength can flow to the spirit either, which, however, is supposed to be the actual purpose of the proclamations from above. It therefore always remains a purely worldly matter for such people, and the extraordinary is soon no longer extraordinary to them; they take note of it but draw no particular conclusions from it. And so this gift of grace has also remained without any particular effect on their thinking because the desire for God has not awakened in them and earthly life is still all too much in the foreground of their thinking. An extraordinary source of strength is now available to such people, but it is left unutilized. God Himself offers them all His love by coming to them and visibly making Himself known, yet people walk past it with their eyes and ears closed and leave the most delicious thing offered to them untouched. And so God can always want to give people proof of His love, power and wisdom, they are ignored or only looked at and judged purely earthly, but divine strength is not desired and therefore not received either. And thus people deprive themselves of a means which should help them to develop their soul higher because they do not think of their soul but only ever have their physical well-being in mind and therefore disregard what only benefits the soul. They pass by a gift of grace and continue their earthly path in ignorance where, with good will, the richest knowledge would be imparted to them, which they cannot receive without their own desire ....
