Life in the hereafter perpetual regulated activity, no state of rest ....

Life on earth is the preparation time for eternity. If now this time is used in such a way that life after death is always thought of and therefore life is lived consciously, then man shapes himself so that he can register a certain maturity at the end of his earth life, and then this has earned him the success that he can now enter the eternal kingdom and can again fulfil the tasks there, which wait for him. For life in eternity is a perpetual activity; it is not a state of rest but only then truly blissful when it is filled with constant activity. If a person is accustomed to lively activity on earth, he will be able to fulfil every task that is set for him in the beyond, and therefore a busy life on earth is a good preparation time for the actual task in the beyond. No hour should remain unused and the strength from God, which is imparted to the human being, should spur him on to fulfil all the demands that earthly life places on him. For one day even more will be demanded of him and it will only ever depend on his will which work he is assigned. For now again he is free to be active, only the state of happiness depends on what his will tells him to do. For being active in the beyond means receiving and distributing .... being active means constantly receiving new knowledge and passing it on, i.e. instructing souls who lack knowledge. Anyone who has already practiced caring for others on earth will have a very large field of activity in the beyond, for he will always carry out what he is told to do because love urges him to give what makes him happy and what he constantly receives. He will want to help to spread the light, he will be undauntedly active, and love will always underlie all activity, for love is strength which wants to express itself and thus expresses itself in lively activity. And therefore the human being should never find joy in an idle existence in earthly life, for this will burden him one day and he will hardly be able to fit in with regular activity which, however, is the epitome of that which signifies eternal happiness for the beings.... ....
