The inner emptiness of those who take the wrong path ....

How rarely is the importance of divine teachings recognized. It is as if people regard all supernatural activity as foolishness, and they consider serious reflection on it to be human weakness or lack of character. The divine is unacceptable to them, but conversely they are not afraid to approve of human reorganizations and support them. And they cannot be helped in any other way. All attempts to make them think fail and time is irretrievably lost for their souls. What lives on earth is meant to follow the path of higher development, and it will also cover the path as long as divine will controls the being. But as soon as the own will is active in the embodiment as man, the course of development upwards is endangered, because the being rebels. It wants to go its own way and rejects every hint, every advice from God. But without this it walks in the wrong direction, and the only possibility is therefore to illuminate this wrong path in such a way that they recognize the fate of those who fall by the wayside, who sink down exhausted and powerless because the path was endless and left no goal in sight. These are the people who go along enjoying life, but who nevertheless recognize their worthlessness and cannot find any real satisfaction in their lives .... who now go to the end of their lives listlessly and bitterly, but no longer have any purpose in life. They do not believe that life has a continuation after death, so they see no goal for themselves and live out the rest of their earthly existence in complete lethargy of spirit. They can certainly still fulfil their earthly work, but this only happens purely mechanically without them finding any meaning and purpose in it. They have given up all struggle because they do not know what they should fight for, and such people should serve as a warning example to those who have not yet finally decided to reject faith, who are therefore still faced with the decision to live life with or without God. They are to be shown the desolation of such a life, which has brought nothing but discouragement and a complete emptiness, because they lived life without God and were therefore devoid of any emanation of strength from Him and their path could therefore never lead them upwards ....
