Free will .... mandatory state .... devotion of which ....

Only the human being is capable of utilizing his free will, i.e. he is the only creature that is in a state of imperfection and yet has free will. This is a privilege which he can only fully appreciate once his carnal shell has been removed and he has entered spheres of light. Only then will he recognize God's infinite love, which gave him the opportunity to use his will as he saw fit. The time of earthly change in free will is indeed a great danger for him if he misuses it, but it can also bring him the highest maturity of soul if free will is utilized correctly. And that is why every good deed is valued particularly highly if it is not caused by some kind of compulsion but is carried out in complete free will. However, once the human being has given himself to God as his own, his will is also always and constantly equal to the divine will, and then his life on earth is no longer responsible, since God Himself accepts the human being once he has sacrificed his will to Him. Giving up his own will is actually the turning point in his life. What was a compulsory state before the embodiment as a human being is to be striven for in the stage of free will .... the complete subordination of the will to the divine will. Thus the human being is to divest himself of what is actually the prerogative of the human being over all other works of creation. What the being has desired in the endless time of captivity, when it languished in bound will, it is now to give up voluntarily, only then it can become truly free and enter the light, because the giving up of the will first means spiritual freedom, because it entails becoming perfect. The being must stand in deepest humility towards God, then it will reach the highest height, for it then accepts the divine will and now carries out everything that brings about the union with God. Free will was the cause of the apostasy from God and must now also cause the return to Him again .... Since the being carried out the separation from Him of its own free will, it must now likewise seek union again of its own free will. This is indispensable because every state of compulsion is something imperfect, the being can therefore never again be judged but must first form itself. Equally, however, he must also retain the possibility of being able to use his free will in the wrong way, since this characterizes the state of freedom. But man always has the opportunity to remedy the weakness of the will by requesting spiritual power. Countless beings stand by him when he threatens to fail. They mentally present to him the great danger of spiritual regression and thus urge him to use free will correctly. No being is therefore incapable of subordinating its will to God .... it can fulfil the task it is given on earth by virtue of its free will if it surrenders this will of its own accord and is now relieved of all responsibility for earthly life ....
