Recognise the divine gift of grace ....

The greatest grace is the transmission of the Word of God in such a form that it can be communicated not only to one person but to the general public. A process so extraordinary must be recognised as a special grace, as a work of God's love for humanity, accomplished for its salvation. And anyone who seriously reflects on this must be deeply touched by God's love and filled with great gratitude, for he also knows himself to be seized by this love if he takes the opportunity and allows the Word of God to penetrate deeply into his heart.

However, this gift of grace is usually not recognised. No attention is paid to the extraordinary process or to the profound wisdom contained in the imparted Word. For the human being's intellect seeks to explain everything in earthly terms, and he sees the cause of the spiritual results in the recipient's special ability to write down his own thoughts, because he himself lacks faith in a loving Being Which, in Its wisdom and omnipotence, seeks to help people. For this faith is absolutely necessary in order to recognise the divine gift of grace as such.

And this is why the Word of God cannot be spread like a world view, because earthly questions are not raised and discussed, but faith is lacking for spiritual instructions and thus the Word of God does not belong to the world but to those who are outside of it, i.e. who have already overcome it to such an extent that only the spiritual world seems desirable to them. And that is why the divine gift of grace receives so little attention and recognition, for humanity sees and hears with the eyes and ears of the body, and these still belong to the world, which is why they only pay attention to what is useful for their earthly life and what they therefore also want to represent and spread.

But God-seeking, believing people will recognise the Word of God. They feel the divine care and know themselves to be guided, and thus it is also understandable to them that a Creator does not leave His creatures without help when they are in need. And they also recognise that they are in need by the fact that there is no spiritual striving amongst humanity and that this can only be achieved through the Word of God if people are willing. For the Word of God is the binding agent which can put people who are far from God into the right relationship with God again. It is the path which leads from the earthly kingdom into the spiritual kingdom, it is the source of strength which enables people to live in accordance with divine will.

And to a believing person it will not seem impossible that God expresses Himself extraordinarily, for he also recognises the extraordinary nature of His activity and is delighted about it. And then his faith and love for God will deepen and he will strive ever more eagerly towards Him. Thus he allows the grace which flows to him through the Word of God to take effect and he matures his soul, he increases in knowledge and shapes himself into love ....
