Time of hardship and tribulation also for the faithful ....

The more alive faith is, the more intimate will be the connection with God and the more noticeable will be the supply of strength which enables the human being to endure everything that is imposed on him. For the coming time will make great demands on all people and the believers will also have to pray intimately for strength. And it will come upon them like a storm which threatens to overthrow them, and only intimate contact with God will allow them to withstand it. Yet the adversity is never greater than the One Who sends it, Who is also always willing to help if He is faithfully called upon for assistance. But for the sake of all humanity the coming adversity is inevitable, and understandably the believers will not remain unaffected by it either, only they can reduce it themselves through believing prayer.

People drift towards the climax, they will stop at nothing if it brings destruction to the one they consider an enemy, and thereby they plunge themselves into great guilt which cannot be atoned for in any other way than that they themselves have to suffer from what they want to inflict on the other. And therefore the adversity will affect everyone, for there are guilty people everywhere, even if believers are in the midst of them who now also have to take the heavy burden upon themselves. Their faith will strengthen them and the more alive it is the easier the hardship will be to bear. And they will also be able to influence their fellow human beings and lead some of them back to faith in God.

For this reason God sends the adversity so that it may still have an educational effect on the few who can still be saved. And that is why the great coming adversity is a grace before the end, it is still a means of winning souls who, through the heavy pressure, through affliction and misery, become thoughtful and earnestly seek to change. The living faith of our fellow human beings should help them on the right path, it should also help them to believe and to get in touch with God. ....

And the believers should always remind themselves that they are needed in this time of need, that God does not call them beforehand in order to have living witnesses on earth who stand up for Him and His teachings, who are obvious proofs of God's strength flowing from a deep faith and who are to speak and work on earth instead of Him among those who are far from God. Only people can act as mediators on earth, only people can receive and pass on the Word of God, because God cannot manifestly express Himself in order not to endanger the freedom of faith and will.

And they must be people who are able to believe vividly themselves and who do not let themselves be oppressed by suffering and tribulation but always provide the unbelievers with the evidence that the strength of faith flows through them and makes them resistant to all earthly tribulation. They must take the hardship of the time on their shoulders, they must arm themselves with the strength which arises from intimate prayer to God. They must always and constantly be ready to serve God as a willing instrument when and where He deems it good, and therefore they must humbly take upon themselves everything and patiently wait for the help of the One Who has assured them of His support, Who will not leave them in adversity if they faithfully trust Him ....
