The direct contact with the spiritual kingdom can only take place when the spiritual forces are called upon in thought or prayer, which is why the transmission of spiritual good is always an act of free will, if the good forces are to become effective, whereas the evil forces try to eliminate the human being's will in order to impose their direction of will on him, which is the case when a person relinquishes his will, thus in an unconscious state hands himself over to those forces which are far from the truth.

It is now commanded for such people, who are afflicted by dark forces, to commend themselves to God's love and grace in a conscious state, to ask Him for His protection and assistance against the beings that afflict them, and to call upon the light spirits to take special care of them and to stay close to them. This call for the good beings gives them the right to stand by him, and then the dark forces are powerless. The human will is too weak to resist if it concerns people who are medially inclined, i.e. who open themselves to the otherworldly world and its influences, thus feel attracted to invisible beings. The forces of darkness have a special influence on their body, which they now take possession of as soon as the human will gives up its resistance.

But the possession of the body has the consequence that the ability to think diminishes, that the human being finds himself as in a dream state and now no longer expresses his own thoughts but those of the power that controls him, completely in the manner peculiar to this spiritual being. So there is, as it were, another soul in the body, while one's own soul is asleep and even afterwards in the waking state it can no longer recall anything that the human being has spoken or done.

The human being is not called to account for this time because the spiritual forces are stronger than he is, nevertheless he should protect himself against this rape by dark forces by handing himself over to the good beings and also to God Himself by always praying, "Deliver us from all evil ...." For it is an evil when a person is dominated by those spiritual forces and his thoughts and actions are no longer his own but are transferred to him by a strong-willed power.

The evil forces must always be warded off, for they are in constant proximity and seek to exploit every opportunity which presents itself when the person who seeks the spiritual kingdom in thought does not first establish the bond with God and is therefore without protection when the forces of darkness beset him. The call of Jesus Christ against the enemy of the souls must always initiate every spiritual connection, then the human being need not fear falling into the hands of evil forces, for the countless beings of light hear the call and hurry over to have a protective and instructing effect, and then the bad forces are denied access, for the name of Jesus Christ banishes all beings which are against Him, but He also gives increased strength to those who are for Him and speak His name with devotion.
