But he who disregards the voice, who overhears it or acts contrary to it in spite of better knowledge, must also take upon himself the consequences of his own actions and will. Although he will sometimes walk along more easily, his path will be long and unsuccessful and lead away from the goal, for this can only be reached by a difficult path, and only overcome resistance will allow the human being to mature his soul, for earthly life remains a struggle if it is to be successful for the soul ....
