People's resistance to the divine word ....

It is remarkable how few people devote themselves to the effect of the divine Word, how little they take notice of the fact that it is conveyed to them in an extraordinary way and how often they inwardly rebel against it and silently or openly reject it. People are already strongly influenced by God's adversary who has clouded their ability to judge and weakened their will, and therefore they don't recognise and don't want to recognise what they lack and what could bring them help. The most important things seem completely unimportant to them, they only pay attention to the demands of the body and are spiritually little interested. And thus it can also be explained that the divine Word is only ever recognised as truth in isolated cases and sends its rays of light into the surroundings ....

Only a few people will feel the power of the divine Word in themselves and thus mature spiritually as a result. The Gospel will certainly be spread everywhere, but it will not find open doors everywhere, and so the little lights will only shine in isolated places and will not be able to dispel the darkness of the night that lies spread over the earth. Only there will it be bright and clear where the light from above is kindled, where the directly commanded Word is received, which is unsurpassable in its effect on people. And so it is not due to the Word itself, nor is it due to the activity of God's messengers, but to people's will to defend themselves, that the divine Word does not find the spreading which is necessary if humanity is to be spiritually healthy and prepare itself for the last Judgment.

Numerous threads are spun between heaven and earth, from earth itself just as numerous threads go in all directions, the news of God's extraordinary working penetrates everywhere, and it could therefore also be spread in all directions, but time and again the threads run dead, and it is impossible, with respect for free will, to bring the divine Word to people as long as the will is inwardly opposed to it. Consequently, people have to be constantly recruited and worked for, and as soon as just one person accepts the message from above a great act of Salvation is accomplished, and for the sake of these individual souls God will convey His Word to earth so that they will find their way to Him before the end comes, before night falls and all light is extinguished ....
