Mental influence of spiritual beings .... connection from earth to the beyond ....

People are constantly influenced from the kingdom of light so that they mentally deal with that kingdom which lies outside the earthly world, which cannot be grasped with earthly senses but which irrefutably exists even if it cannot be proven. But every human being knows that there is a realm which is still closed to him as long as he is unbelieving, for even if he would like to deny it he cannot do so with the certainty which could provide him with evidence, and there is no proof that that realm does not exist. The beings of light, however, endeavour to influence people mentally in such a way that they deal with the state after their death .... that they consider the possibility of a continuation, and then they can also continue to influence people through ideas which people explain to them as their own assumption. The human being's train of thought must be directed towards his existence after his death .... even though he would prefer to believe that there is no longer any existence after death, thoughts will nevertheless force themselves upon him again and again, and this is the work of the beings in the spiritual kingdom who want to help him attain the right realiz

ation. But it will constantly become more laborious and unsuccessful the closer the end is .... For the kingdom of darkness also tries to take hold of people's thoughts and teaches them in the opposite sense .... it only presents the tangible to him and seeks to destroy all belief in a continuation of life. And precisely these people will often experience things which are a visible influence of the beings of light which could lead to faith if the person is of good will. The kingdom of the beyond will make itself felt, people will at times be harassed by beings or even receive small signs which they only needed to pay attention to in order to become aware of visible spiritual contact with the world which they deny .... The time of the end has come where people will be influenced in many ways, for it shall be made easy for all people if only they possess the slightest desire for truth. The last days are a final time of grace when extraordinary things will happen because it has become much more difficult to believe due to the general lack of love which does not allow a living faith to arise. That is why there is visible intervention from above, that is why beings of light instruct people who are turned towards the light, and that is why beings from the beyond also come to people's aid who, although they cannot yet instruct them as bearers of truth, nevertheless want to announce their continued life to those with whom they were connected on earth. For this reason the connections from earth to the spiritual kingdom are also permitted in order to restore the faith of completely unbelievers in a continuation of life after death. For this faith alone can cause the human being to change his will and nature, and faith can be gained by everyone who seriously strives for truth. It is a time of united activity of the beings of light and people on earth who believe .... For the aim of both is to make people believe that life does not end with the death of the body but continues in spheres which the human being chooses himself through his life on earth. Only this faith awakens the sense of responsibility and also determines the human will ....
