Poverty of spirit .... Humility .... Grace ....

Those who feel poor in spirit draw Me to them because they are humble and in need of help, they feel weak and unworthy and ask Me for mercy .... They are humble and therefore find favour with Me. I lean towards all the weak when they call upon Me, for nothing is too small or too lowly for Me, and My merciful love protects and strengthens the weak and helpless; I draw them up to Me in order to never leave them .... But who is poor in spirit, who is so deeply humble that he finds favour in My sight? Who recognises himself as standing at a great distance from Me, who bows his knees before Me in spirit, who completely submits himself to Me in order to be accepted by Me in grace .... who only ever tries to gain My love and yet feels unworthy of My love. The humility of an earthly child attracts Me enormously, because love for Me is also hidden in humility towards Me, a love which does not dare to come to Me uncalled. And yet the soul calls Me unconsciously through its humility. For a gentle glow emanates from it which attracts Me, because something divine already shines upon Me, because spiritual poverty is the sign that the soul has recognised Me and that recognition also results in turning to Me. Anyone who feels spiritually poor has gained My love forever and My grace will inexorably overflow, for I bestow My grace upon the humble .... I know the human being's heart exactly, I will not be deceived by gestures, I know everything the soul thinks and wants, and nothing remains hidden from Me that stays unspoken, but nevertheless moves the thoughts and is always visible to Me. And therefore, I can hand out favours but also limit them, I can lift up the child kneeling before Me and I can let down the one who, in an arrogant spirit, presents himself to the world as humble but never ever testifies to true humility .... That is why grace flows to some people without measure, while others remain poor. Yet I would like to give all people an abundant measure of grace, I would like everyone to recognise their spiritual poverty, that they would all feel the distance from Me and pleadingly stretch out their hands to Me from the bottom of their hearts, because then I would be able to make them happy with My grace, for anyone in possession of My grace will soon also be in possession of Me Myself, because I will never leave out the one who is in the right filial relationship with Me, who comes to the Father like a child pleadingly and calls upon Him for help and strength. He who feels great and exalted will fall, he who believes himself in the depths because he recognises himself as weak and sinful, he will be lifted up by My love and always be My own, he will be able to receive a rich measure of grace from My hand and therefore safely walk upwards ....
