Mercy ....

You should practice mercy and always be mindful of the fact that without My mercy you would be lost forever .... But mercy is also based on love, which cannot see suffering and wants to help. The human being who feels compassion for his fellow human beings is not without love, otherwise his fate would not touch him. Mercy is another form of love .... for love seeks to please, mercy first seeks to avert suffering, and every sensitive person takes pity on his fellow human being's suffering, he feels for him as it were and can be touched to his innermost being, and therefore he is willing to help .... Love can also be practiced without tangible hardship, and the human being can also give and want to make happy in full unselfishness. Yet even a person with a colder heart can be seized by his fellow human being's adversity .... then mercy will emerge, love will be kindled in the human being, the other person's misery will cause him to work with love, and a work of mercy will also earn the person My mercy if he is in need. I see all your sins and weaknesses, and I take pity on your condition, even though you are to blame for it yourselves .... And so your mercy should also apply to those who have fallen into misery through their own fault .... the mercy should not appear judicially, it should also apply to the unworthy, for your fellow human being's hardship truly compensates for his guilt but is nevertheless agonizing and worthy of mercy. What would your fate be if I had not taken pity on you and not redeemed your great guilt Myself through My love? .... Your fate was indeed justified, for you had chosen it yourselves of your own free will .... But I only see and saw your weakness, your spiritual low and your shackle which My adversary had put on you .... I saw your powerlessness to ever free yourselves from this fetter again .... And now My mercy took the place of justice .... I helped you to become free from this fetter once and for all .... I sent the redeemer Jesus Christ to earth, in Whom I embodied Myself and fought against the one who held you captive .... My mercy could and would no longer leave you in his bondage .... So mercy did not pay attention to your own sin but helped you to become free from it as well .... And so you should also practise mercy, you should help, (8.4.1954) driven by love, to end the misery of your fellow human being, you should have mercy on those who are guilty and therefore have actually forfeited their right to your help .... But you should not remember their guilt, but their misery .... Merciful love is proof that your hearts are not yet hardened, that you are, as it were, compassionate and feel fraternally united with the wretched. Therefore do not avert your eyes if you are confronted by great adversity .... also consider those in the depths with your love and take My mercy as an example, which applies to all sinners and which prompted Me to accomplish the act of salvation .... For you were all guilty, but I took this guilt upon Myself and paid for it with My death on the cross ....
