God's love and mercy come to meet people ....

And this is God's great mercy that He draws people to Himself through His grace, that He offers them His help because they fail without it, because they cannot find the way into the father's house if God does not come to meet them. The father wants to fetch His child home but the child does not recognize the father until He stretches out His hand and draws it to Himself. And this mercy is the outflow of His love. He seeks to lead back to Himself what has emerged from Him, for it is a part of Himself. It should turn to Him of its own free will, yet since it no longer recognizes its origin it is too weak and therefore needs His love and grace and His greater than great mercy .... And the coming great suffering is also a work of God's mercy, it is a grace which is intended to help people return to God. But people will not recognize it as mercy and therefore it will also remain ineffective .... Suffering will not be able to bend people, for they are far from God and do not know of His great love and mercy. They are His creatures and no longer recognize the creator, they are His children and do not long to return to the father's house because they walk along in spiritual blindness and do not want to accept the light that God sends them on their path through life out of great mercy ....
