It is of utmost importance to examine with a certain caution and to accept nothing unconditionally what is also offered to man .... as long as what is offered, is for man's own good - i.e. has come into being as a purely earthly work without recourse to Divine help.  Such a work cannot be accepted without enough caution; nevertheless, an error on man's part is always to be considered and therefore also the truth is often to be doubted.  However, this precautionary measure does not apply to announcements that reach people directly from above and everything that is transmitted to people in this way by the spiritual forces can be accepted without doubt.

But the human being is not able to grasp the right meaning from time to time, be it that his train of thought digresses from the actual content, or also that he has not fulfilled certain preconditions by which it is possible for him to penetrate into the Divine wisdom.  Nothing can be explained so exhaustively that it can also be understood (by = the ed.) the man who refrains from all spiritual striving, because this is not in the sense of the Divine Creator .... It will recognize who is interested in the truth and who also simultaneously tries to fulfill the demands made on him .... But who wants to get an explanation only purely scientifically, must be content with such words which appear incomprehensible to him, and he must strive to find the right attitude first, before also the sense of the words is understandable to him.

Thus the Lord always and at all times gave .... easily understandable to those who desired His word out of the love of the heart, but incomprehensible to those who only desired to know (t = ed.), but did not adhere to the content of the gifts from above, thus also did not follow the Divine Word.  To them, they were only dead letters, without sense and without effect .... And, what they - through their own fault - could not understand, lost it's value. Those, however, who deal with the Word of God in detail .... and who make every effort to turn the Word into action, will fully understand what is imparted to them, and the slightest doubt will be removed, if they only submit it to the Lord with faith.

And it is enough for you to know that all power from God is at work to help you to deep faith, and nothing is left untried to erase even the last doubt in you, that therefore the devotion to your Saviour becomes more and more intimate and makes you receptive for the Divine Word in direct form .... and you thus reach the state of complete detachment of the soul from the body.  Then no proclamation will be incomprehensible to you anymore, but you will receive everything at the same time with the ear, the heart and the spirit .... And this is the surest guarantee of the truthfulness of the Divine Words, but your faith should already be so strong beforehand, because whoever believes firmly and unshakably, the Savior can approach him and make him happy through His presence and His Word .....
