Making known the Divine will ....
Direct and indirect voice ....

The heavenly Father demands readiness from His servants on earth, and the readiness is to expressed by constant listening to the announcements of His will.  You receive His Word, and therefore the guideline for your thinking and acting is given to you.  Now to arrange your life according to this Word, means to be active according to the Divine will.  However, where the Divine will is disregarded, man stands in contradiction to the Divine order, violates it and increases the distance from the Father instead of decreasing it.  Every earthly child knows by itself what is right and what is wrong, and must, in order to reach the Father, do what is right and abhor what is wrong. ....

If now man seriously deals with the problem of his earthly task, if he generally justifies his existence on earth with a certain purpose, his train of thought will be directed towards the demands which were made on him, as creature of his Creator by the eternal Divinity.  And these demands are clearly and distinctly contained in the Word of God, and therefore this may only be taken up by the will of man with the heart and therefore be complied with, and man has completely fulfilled his duty on earth .... he has used earthly life to reduce his distance from the Father, and therefore lived in the will of God ....

And so the first and most important thing that man has to do, is to listen to the voice of God .... It is offered to him in many ways .... he can hear it directly, if he only listens to himself and believes that God makes His will known to those who ask Him for it .... But he can also receive them indirectly if he listens to what God says to him through the mouth of man, considers these words and does not close his mind to them.  If he is serious about his earthly task, he will clearly and distinctly feel in his heart that God Himself admonishes and inspires him to do right, and he will recognize the Divine will .... and therefore he will serve the Lord and fulfill His commandments.  And as soon as he has recognized his relationship to God, he also lives in the Divine order, because his spirit is willing, and the Father in heaven gives him the necessary strength, so that he may reach the heights ....
