Thought process of the Unawakened ....
And orderly thoughts ....

The thought processes of a man whose spirit is still unawakened, moves mostly in areas without any spiritual value.  He will only be occupied with investigative questions for the sakee of improved earthly well-being, because only that which promises some earthly advantage, will always be drawn into the circle of his thought-activity - and things concerning spiritual experience, will never touch the thoughts of a man who stands centered in earthly life.

And therefore those thoughts are exclusively the results of a bodily function, these thoughts are the proof that thousands and thousands of people can use a gift naturally, which was given to them by the Creator, but that the results are according to the free will of the human being .... that he can use the gift purely physically and then also produces purely earthly results, while a human being, whose will desires God, works with spiritual support - i.e., whose thinking ability connects itself with spiritual power and the results understandably must also be spiritual.

The thoughts are now ordered from the spiritual side, they no longer go arbitrarily, but they are completely adapted to the desire of man, into which area he desires to gain insight.  It will be possible to accept without hesitation the thoughts that arise in man, when he is concerned with spiritual questions.  The conscious striving for and demand of spiritual power, is the surest guarantee for the now rightly guided thoughts, for truth and deepest knowledge.  And it can be assumed conversely with fullest conviction, that all thoughts in a worldly direction, originate from man himself and are therefore also passed on as a human error.

Again, it takes a Divine Spirit to be able to separate the truth from the lie.  Every worldly thought is like an obstacle to reach the truth, and therefore the Divine spirit must absolutely be at work, if a clear separation of good and evil, of truth and lie, is to occur.  And on the other hand, the Divine Spirit assures the earthly child of correct thoughts, and he need not anxiously ask himself as to how far his thoughts are right. ....
