Untruthfulness is an obstacle to reception ....

The slightest inclination to untruth is an obstacle for the acceptance of the Divine gift, because the light-beings can only connect with man when he stands in fullest desire for truth.   For since they are bearers of Divine truth, they can only impart it to a man who absolutely desires truth, and therefore an untruthful earthly child can never accept the pure truth, because the light-being can no longer impart it.  Truth is constantly offered to people in an acceptable form, and an earthly child longing for truth, will also offer no resistance to the spiritual mediations.

However, as the lie has found entrance, man is no longer suitable as a mediator of Divine truth.  He no longer takes account of his thoughts.  He no longer has the right aspiration to serve God in all devotion, but he likes something that goes against God's will, better - he tries to excuse himself and thus falls into the error of becoming untrue.  He then seeks to anesthetize himself again by convincing himself of it's necessity, and thus deviates from the right path that leads to God ..... This is such a momentous step, that one cannot warn enough against it, because only he who desires to stand in the fullest truth, can establish the connection with God, as the eternal truth Himself.  And therefore the guarantee for the truthfulness of the words coming from above, will always be given when man's desire is exclusively to receive this truth.

The Divine Word can only be offered where concessions are not made also to the adversary, and every lie is only a concession of the will to him.  The will is now in a certain lack of freedom, it is forced to accept what the adversary presents to it, it becomes weak and does not offer sufficient resistance, and this causes a mood of spiritual dissatisfaction, which lasts until the desire for truth has again become so strong in man, that the light-bearers can approach the earthly child without hesitation and the purest truth can again be offered to him.  Man must always keep in mind that he can only have complete enlightenment if he puts truth above everything and never takes recourse to even the slightest untruth.  For otherwise he denies access to the light-beings, and they cannot express themselves in this way, for only where the desire for truth is predominant can the pure truth be offered from above.  Therefore avoid lies and always strive for the fullest truth, so that you will be worthy of the Divine gift of grace. ....
