Free will - reason - understanding ....

Henceforth, your life shall be consecrated to the service of the Lord - and all the gifts you receive, will strengthen your will and give you the strength to work for the Lord.

Amen

So receive the following today: Every being must go the way of the flesh in order to decide for or against God.  Therefore, two possibilities are presented to him, the choice of which is up to him.  If both would be equally desirable in their external effects, it would be easy to decide for God, but so the way to God is laborious and riddled with privation, while the way down promises earthly joys and successes, therefore appears more desirable to the being, and therefore it must fight now, if it wants to take the way up.  This however is the Divine law that the being must stand in definite resistance to it's inner desire, that it must win for itself what is infinitely precious and needs it's willpower for it, which however is increased to it according to need and demand, so that the being can reach the goal if it wants.

It is not able to do anything by it's own strength, but the strength from God is not withheld from it, if the being desires it.  Therefore nothing more is demanded than the will.  Because the being once misused it's will to fall away from God, it must now give away exactly this will - i.e. use it, in order to reach back to God again. And for this purpose, the embodiment as a human being was given to him. The way of the flesh is striven for by all beings, as long as they still stay in the bound form, because they know that this means the last walk on earth.  They therefore take it upon themselves joyfully, know beforehand about their task and long for this embodiment in the hope to finally be able to free themselves from the banished form.  However, they also know about the responsibility of earthly existence, but they consider their willpower sufficient to be able to fulfill their task.  But they underestimate the cunning and power of the adversary ..... They do not consider that he uses all means to make the spiritual again submissive to himself and his plans.

However, God's love enfolds His creatures and provides them with all the tools to resist this power.  But the free state in the flesh involves many dangers.  Especially the freedom of the will is used by the adversary, by presenting all glories to the being on earth, which now the being can acquire by virtue of it's free will and which seem to be extraordinarily desirable to it after the previously unfree state.  And the adversary seeks to determine the being to use the free will to create an extremely pleasant life for himself .... and again this means apostasy from God.  And there resistance is to be offered from one's own motivation.

Man should not be hindered in his freedom of will during this short time of earthly journey, but he should recognize the great danger of a pleasurable earthly life, with his reason and his intellect.  And indeed he is pointed to it by the Word of God, which is offered to every human being ..... This holds the glories of the eternal life on the one hand, as well as the ruin on the other hand before his eyes, and now man can decide for himself which way he wants to go ..... For this, God gave him reason, understanding and free will, so that he does not walk in ignorance about it's great meaning, during his life on earth.

Therefore, however, life as a human being is also a responsibility.  It has been given to him for a certain purpose and must therefore also be lived consciously according to this purpose.  Although he is at the mercy of the adversary's power, the Divine power and grace are so extensively at his disposal, that he can resist this power if he uses his free will correctly - i.e. if he has decided in favor of God. ....
