Humbly submitting to the Lord's will will make you worthy of His grace. And therefore accept everything the Lord sends you without contradiction or inner rebellion. For if God afflicts you He also demonstrates His love for you; He only allows you to suffer because He dearly loves you, otherwise you will never be able to reach Him ..... But He wants you to find your way to Him. And therefore you will only force the world once you have submitted yourselves to the Lord, for if you apply your will and live in accordance with His will you will have the greatest strength at your disposal, and you will overcome the world and every adversary who approaches you in order to bring you down. And therefore unconditionally entrust yourselves to the divine Lord, He will guide and direct you on all paths.

Everything that is out of God and strives back to Him again is active in restless activity. For a life of rest and inactivity is not an upward striving but a sliding down into darkness. Life lies in activity alone, and therefore everything that wants to live is active, whereas being inactive of one's own free will poses the greatest danger of being forced to become inactive. The danger is so great because the human will then becomes weak and this weakened will is used by the adversary who increasingly prevents the human being from being active for his own liberation. The will to be active is always an affirmation of the power that flows towards the human being. If he uses it, then he will also be constantly active; if he rejects it, then he is also incapable of being active, for he is unable to do anything by his own strength. The will to be active also continually provides him with strength, and this strength in turn makes his will turn ever more consciously towards God.

If the human being strives to work on himself and his soul, his will will be constantly stimulated and he will see the earthly task in restless activity, he will not remain inactive because he recognises inactivity as a standstill but wants to ascend. The lightless state, however, weakens his urge for activity, i.e. living in ignorance will also have an inhibiting effect. However, the power of knowledge is given to everyone who desires God and prays to Him. For the Lord does not leave them in the darkness of the spirit .... Anyone who prays sincerely to God will be enlightened, strength and grace will flow to him, his urge to be active will increase and he will consciously strive to ascend. His will will constantly be active, and to be active means to become free from all compulsion; to be active means to consciously receive the strength from God and to utilise it according to God's will .... and to be active according to God's will means to redeem oneself from the adversary's power ....
