Attitude towards the question of the divinity of Jesus ....

The human being is always free to either affirm or deny the divinity of Jesus, but the consequences of his attitude will also be opposite .... greatest spiritual success or deepest darkness, i.e. complete spiritual failure. This question alone is decisive for the human being's spiritual state when he ends his earthly life. If he affirms Jesus' divinity then he has also lived his life consciously, i.e. he has knowingly accepted the strength and grace of the act of Salvation, which, however, is impossible if he opposes this question.

Only God can distribute strength and only the person who acknowledges God can receive it. But through His death on the cross the divine Redeemer acquired the right for people to enter into direct contact with God Himself and thus to request and receive strength without measure. And this strength promotes spiritual higher development .... The utilisation of the work of grace and redemption is also the guarantee for the attainment of spiritual maturity.

However, anyone who does not lay claim to these blessings, who denies the act of Salvation as well as the divine Redeemer Himself, understandably has to remain on a low spiritual level, for he lacks strength. .... His will is still bound by the adversary and his adversary's power over him is so great that he cannot become free on his own, but he rejects the only help and does not even acknowledge that there is a helper .... Thus he still stands where people stood before the Lord's descent, he has completely fallen prey to the adversary and his will is too weakened to turn to God. And if he also had the will, the power of the adversary towards him is still unbroken and his struggle would therefore be in vain.

Thus faith in the divine Redeemer is first necessary and the will to affirmatively accept His act of Salvation. Only now is the strength supplied to him which enables him to work on himself and his soul. Self-edification can be tackled countless times, without faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Redeemer of the world the human being will always fall back into his weaknesses and faults, for he lacks the support which helps him to pull against the enemy ..... Who, as it were, has redeemed his soul from the adversary's power with His blood, thus withdrawing it from his influence.

A willing person who is turned towards God, who lives in God and thus recognises God Himself in Jesus Christ, has his path of life so marked out that he can no longer go astray. He reaches the heights safely because the adversary can no longer put obstacles in his way. His power is broken by the love of the Lord, Who sacrificed Himself for people so that their path upwards became easier and it is possible for them to shape themselves in such a way that they leave earthly life as true children of the Father in heaven and can now be redeemingly active in the beyond ....
