Put the following on record: The words, given from above, must be received with gratitude and considered in the heart in order to now also have an effect as strength. What is written down shall now have an effect .... it shall stimulate people's thoughts and determine them to live according to the Word. And now the effect of the divine Word will also be felt by ennobling people, by educating them to love and causing them to strive towards God, towards light and truth.

Receiving the Word of God alone is not enough, the human being must now put everything into action, and this requires strength which he must ask for. Thus prayer is necessary time and again in order to be able to follow the divine Word, for the human being's strength is insufficient but will be increased immeasurably if it is requested. The human being's will to serve God and to prepare himself to receive the Word of God is sufficient in order to be worthy of this grace. However, the whole will must be mustered to make what is received spiritually one's own, i.e. the heart and intellect must be active in order to let what is offered take effect in oneself, and at the same time the will must be strong to fulfil God's will which is made known to people. Therefore, what God gives must also be utilised so that the blessing of it can become visible.

And there are so many endless possibilities to let the divine Word take effect in oneself .... the will is always a prerequisite to comply with what God demands. And depending on how this will is put into action, the human being will also feel the blessing and the strength as increased will to serve God, increased strength of realisation and joyful service to the neighbour who needs his help. Only then will the Word of God be consciously received, when it has become spiritual property and is followed. Knowledge alone without action is not enough.

God wants His gift to be received with a deeply grateful heart and not to be carelessly put aside. But humanity certainly hears the Word but lets it pass by unheeded .... And thus it also lacks the strength to recognise the divine. Consequently, the strength of the divine Word cannot take effect either, and humanity will therefore not be able to be proven the truth of what God sends to people as a promise. Yet the believing human being who lives according to the Word of God will fully experience the blessings in himself ....
