And what you now recognise as truth yourselves, you will easily be able to pass on to your fellow human beings. Then there can be no question of thoughtlessly accepting what is offered, for the human being would not be able to pass on something he had not previously made his own spiritual property; and the human being can only make spiritual property of that which, although he has received it with his heart .... , he has first processed it with his intellect, otherwise it would not stick to him and thus it would also be impossible to pass it on.

The will to serve Him is sufficient to receive or write down what God has imparted ...., but the intellectual thinking through of the received gift is sufficient to spread it. If the recipient wants to be active in teaching, he must inevitably first make everything he has received his spiritual property; thus he may never be satisfied with what he has received, for this is only of value when it gains life through reflection on it, when it in turn stimulates life again, i.e. when everything is put into action which requires activity. Every teaching is without life as long as it is only on paper, only when it is grasped by the heart and processed by the intellect is it alive, i.e., it now stimulates activity which corresponds to what has been received.

What God offers the human being on earth will always serve the soul's perfection, since the only purpose of earthly life is higher development. Thus everything offered will always encourage the human being's free will but not force it. "You can do it if you want to ...." Every human being should hold these words before himself. He must therefore do something himself .... he must declare himself willing to accept the divine gift of grace by concentrating his thoughts on it and only then truly receive the sign of divine love, so that his heart and intellect can process what he has received and only then can he call a spiritual treasure his own ....
