Wealth and poverty in the afterlife ....

Only that which bears the stamp of love is imperishable. For only that which is born in love will outlast time and eternities. And therefore it is useless to want to build something which does not correspond to the commandment of love, for this will inevitably come to an end, and the strength which God imparts to every person will be misused if it is only used for actions which lack all love. Whatever earthly success arises from it has no lasting value, it goes the way of all earthly things, it passes away .... And only a work of love is indestructible, for even if the outward appearance of such activity is seemingly transient, everything done with love has eternal value ....

It is the good deeds which will follow you into eternity, which alone will be valued when all earthly things have fallen away from the human being. And only now can the soul speak of wealth or poverty, for love and light are one, and anyone who has worked in love on earth is surrounded by radiant light; he recognises, he is in knowledge. Suddenly the great significance of earthly life is clear to him and the consequences of a loving or loveless way of life, and he recognises that love is the only redeeming factor in earthly existence.

What the human being creates for himself in earthly wealth is an increase of that which is to be overcome on earth. Before his stage as a human being he had already overcome all matter, i.e. liberated himself from all form, albeit in a state of compulsion ..... And on earth he shall do the same in a free state. But the inclination to the earthly is the desire for what he has already overcome before, and thus a step backwards. But desire for possessions is at the same time a lack of love, because a loving person wants to give to the one he loves.

But that person only loves his ego and that which benefits his ego. So it is a wrong love which never has a redeeming effect, which binds the human being to matter as if with chains. And thus all care only applies to his body but not to his soul, and earthly wealth, which was the object of all love on earth, must turn into utmost poverty in the beyond. On the other hand, however, earthly wealth need not be an obstacle to loving activity as long as it is willingly given in order to banish the hardship and worries of the fellow human being .... so that the heart does not cling to it in desire but gives what God has given it to the fellow human being in love. All actions and thoughts must be born in love, then they will result in the richest blessings on earth and a life of light and bliss in the beyond. ....
