Inquiring into the mind .... The more the human being entrusts himself to God's care, the easier his earthly life will be, for it is the will of the Father in heaven that He should always be remembered. Only then will you be able to receive the strength from Him, which He will give without restriction to anyone who desires it. .... The human being often inquires where a single request for clarification could provide him with information and yet, despite being informed of an instruction from above, he will not make use of it because he does not believe. And consequently he will walk in error, for he cannot find the right knowledge without faith. The result of the believer will always differ from that of the unbeliever; they are two different basic attitudes which also produce different results. The same success can never be expected even if the will to investigate is active, i.e. if he only wants to solve spiritual problems in a purely intellectual way. A distinction must be made between a person who rejects faith and a person who is still searching and weak in faith, who is willing to believe if what he has learned seems acceptable to him. This person asks .... but the other person claims ..... He intellectually compiles a teaching for himself and is completely convinced of its truth, yet he has not used the slightest divine strength for it, thus the result cannot be divine truth either, for the human being who does not appeal to God is by no means entirely without the influence of spiritual strength, instead, he is now guided by the opposing force and always works in opposition to God. Therefore this opposing force does not allow the human being's thinking to be in truth but will do everything to confuse the thinking. Nor is it usually the desire for truth which motivates his research but the prospect of earthly success which drives him to use his intellect. Thus he does not seek any connection with knowing forces, neither consciously nor unconsciously, but purely intellectually compiles the results of other researchers and puts together a new picture. He does not seek wisdom from the eternal Wisdom Itself, but adopts the trains of thought of other equally erroneous people, and the end result must inevitably also be error. .... Amen
