Every thought which turns towards the spiritual is an overflow of divine flow of strength to the human being, which is guided through countless spiritually mature entities and conveyed to people by them. Furthermore, it is spiritual activity insofar as the beings in the beyond fulfil their activity of love by passing on light and knowledge, that they therefore endeavour to communicate to the still ignorant human being in the form of thoughts what they themselves possess in abundance but which the human being still lacks.

These currents of strength do not reach people arbitrarily but only as a result of the human will to receive them, i.e. .... the human being's will shapes the direction of thought, thus he can desire spiritual knowledge but also only respond to earthly questions, and accordingly the human being will then be considered by spiritual strength or give himself the desired answer.

Self-thought is merely a function of the intended organs, it is a use of every human being's inherent vitality which he can use as he pleases but which is of no use to him if he uses it for worthless things .... for things which are worthless for eternity. If he then uses the strength in order to increase his soul's wealth, thus in order to receive information about his spiritual life, his destiny and his task in life, then spiritual strength will also come into play and these currents of strength will be imparted to him, which he himself had to work to receive through his will.

But then the success is unimaginable, for the human being is, as it were, drawn into that world. If he gives in to these thoughts he is also in the spiritual kingdom himself, his thoughts are far removed from the earthly, for they go back to where their origin was. The earthly-minded person will never receive this strength because it would mean that he would know it against his will ..... The strength from God is synonymous with light and knowledge. Whoever receives it must also increase in knowledge. But if knowledge were imparted to the human being against his will he would not be able to grasp it, and this also explains why even the Word received from above, which informs the human being of every question, remains incomprehensible to the human being who does not desire knowledge and is therefore also rejected, for it only comes to him as a mere Word but not as divine revelation, and he only hears this Word with his ears but not with his heart.

Thus his train of thought is only directed towards earthly things. He is therefore purely intellectually active, i.e. only the strength is active in him which was given to him to exist, to live, but which is not sufficient to grasp divine wisdom. If this is to become comprehensible to him, he must consciously or unconsciously contact spiritual forces ..... He must ask them for their support. He has to ask them for their help or want other, i.e. spiritual areas to be opened up to him ..... This will is an unconscious request for spiritual strength, and it will be met by his thoughts taking the direction which leads to truth ....
