Believe and persevere in prayer .... It is a particularly high task which was given to you for earthly life, and a far higher maturity of soul depends on its fulfilment than the human being can otherwise achieve on earth. And God will give you the strength you need if you don't forget Him and appeal for His help. What is earthly life .... Only a fleeting moment in eternity. What are the sufferings and worries on earth compared to the beatitude which awaits you if you live in faith and in God.

But to live in God means to stand in love .... To live in God means to make Him your own, to put Him before all your thoughts and actions and to do what He asks of you .... Giving love to your fellow human beings .... Whoever lives in God will no longer pay attention to himself, but will always be active for others, because God is love .... To live in God means to be completely permeated by divine love. But he who is lovingly active is in intimate union with God .... He is in Him, just as God is in everyone who shapes himself into love by carrying out works of love.

The fact that you are now confronted with tasks which require great love and willingness to make sacrifices is something you must learn to regard as a grace, a grace which shall result in the higher development of your soul. You must never believe that the Lord God brings people together indiscriminately in order to bring suffering upon them, but that He wants to shape you into higher maturity of soul. Often the tests are so difficult that you are in danger of failing, and yet such tests must be put to you, for they will strengthen your strength.

Wherever you have to overcome resistance, your soul will follow the path of higher development, provided you are active yourselves in order to master this resistance. Earthly life will soon be over, in eternity you will be repaid many times over for the sacrifices you have made for your neighbour. And the soul of the one you have helped will thank you. But what you do you must do in patience and love .... You must surrender to all strokes of fate, you must always and constantly desire help from your spiritual friends who will always stand by your side wherever you need them. You must call upon them so that they can help you in every adversity of soul and body.

And if you only ever have God in mind and in your heart ...., if you firmly and steadfastly believe that He is the Lord to Whom everything is subject in heaven and on earth ...., if you try to gain His love, you will also have the power, and you will become master over all adversities, you will increase in strength and power, and your life on earth will also be easier. For anyone who overcomes the trials has nothing to fear for eternity, for his faith and prayer will help him in all adversities, even though it may seem as if the trials are insurmountable .... you always have a helper by your side if you desire His help .... But He has great power and will truly also use His power if danger threatens you .... Therefore believe and persevere in prayer ....
