What God has given to people so far has only ever been accepted by those people who carried an exceptionally strong desire for truth within themselves; for these recognise it as God's Word. And consequently the pure Word of God will rarely break through. In a time of tribulation and adversity the Word of God descends to earth .... at a time when it is meant to bring comfort to people, when it is meant to give them strength for the earthly change.

Yet humanity rejects it or passes it by in indifference. It does not pay attention to it and therefore it cannot take effect on it either. Time and again God in His boundless love descends to earth Himself in the Word. He would like to draw close to people, to make them aware of Himself, He would like to speak to them and impart strength to them, yet they close their hearts and do not grant Him entrance.

And that is why the tribulation on earth will become ever greater. The suffering will increase to the point of unbearability, a time of deepest misery will come so that people will come to their senses and seek God so that He will help them. And then the Word of God will find its way in among them in isolation and now also become effective in all its power.

There are countless possibilities how it will be offered to them .... from person to person as well as in direct contact with God, provided the human being confidentially and humbly converses with the supreme Being Whose created being he feels himself to be. This acceptance of the divine Word is truly the best, but it also presupposes a certain maturity of soul, i.e. a self-mortification must have been striven for before the human being is able to hear the voice of God within himself.

And only rarely does the human being shape himself according to God's will, and therefore the hearing of the divine Word directly is also only rarely .... For this reason people should listen to those through whom God conveys His Word to them, and thus they should receive the Word through mediators, for it always remains the pure Word of God which is blessed with His strength ..... And they should only ever make an effort to live in accordance with this Word .... Then they will very soon be so mentally instructed and guided themselves that they will be able to mentally receive all wisdom from God.

The divine Word will be a balm in the most difficult times, it will be refreshment for those who threaten to collapse without strength, it will be the anchor which is the last salvation when the little ship of life threatens to sink. For all strength flows from this word .... And no matter what the world may say about it, it will never be able to destroy it or make it ineffective ..... For it is something spiritual which can never fall prey to destruction. It can be mentally conveyed to people and is therefore inaccessible to any earthly force.

The divine Word lasts for eternity, and anyone who accepts it as the highest good and makes it his own will likewise secure a life of eternity, for spiritual good is everlasting and anyone who possesses it is likewise everlasting. .... All earthly measures can never touch the Word of God itself but they can make people unwilling to accept it, and then they will, to a certain extent, deprive themselves of the greatest treasure if they abandon the divine Word for earthly advantages ....

What is directed against God and against His commandments is given to people by the adversary and therefore should never be obeyed, even though it is an order of earthly authority .... Give to God what is God's .... and the worldly requirements should be fulfilled as long as they do not oppose God ....

Whatever is demanded of you by the authorities you shall do, but as soon as it is against God or His commandments you shall obey Him Who is above all, for He is your Lord to Whom everything is subject .... But the divine Word demands love .... Love for your fellow human beings .... and all actions you do should be born of love.

However, if anything else is demanded, the lawgiver is not assigned to people by God but took a power for himself which, however, can be taken away from him if he does not comply with divine will .... God is the Power Which alone is to be acknowledged, and the earthly Power which fulfils divine will will also be supported by God in all its measures and actions. A visible blessing will rest on everything it starts. And a higher development of soul and spirit can be observed where this power reigns ...., for it works with God, as it were .....

But then, as the most certain characteristic, the pure Word of God must also be allowed to be spread, spiritual communion must be able to be cultivated, a peaceful state must unite people of the same mind and the strength of the divine Word must be effective everywhere amongst humanity, i.e., the people who accept the Word must be in closest union with God and constantly live in love, i.e. be constantly active in love ....
