How gently and carefully the Father leads His true children through earthly life .... through all dangers and protects them from dire need, both bodily and spiritually .... For the heavenly Father loves these His children who constantly long for Him and make every effort to serve Him and obey His will. And therefore do not be afraid and do not tremble, even in times of earthly trouble, because the Lord lets it pass you by, and he makes sure that it does not oppress you and that you always find help. ....
And this shall be a comfort to you, and you shall look into the future with a joyful heart, because the Father will always grant you His protection wherever it may be; you are therefore never abandoned, even if it seems as if everything around you threatens to collapse. He who commends himself to the heavenly Father and implores His mercy, is in the safest of protection, for He will not let a prayer sent up in faith go unheard. Many a storm may still pass over you, but the sun will shine again and again afterwards, and again and again gentle calm and cloudless skies will make the memory of the previous storms fade ....
And consider that also these storms must be, because the Lord, Who commands over life and death, also has these storms in His power, and if He allows the elements to rage, He also only aims at to purify everything which He has intended for higher work. He first separates everything impure, so that the way to perfection becomes free for the being. And many such storms must still come over mankind, and therefore you should not become timid and fainthearted. As long as you prove yourselves worthy of God's love, He also holds His protecting hand over you, and therefore you must practice love, because thereby you prove your will to Him and also express your love for Him. And He will protect you from all danger and also turn His love towards you.
