Activity in the afterlife ....
Ray of light ....

This is especially put to your heart that only the soul can enter into the light-spheres, which consciously turned to the eternal Divinity in earthly life.  For a stay in the light requires a state which again can only be reached with the help of God and therefore must be sought through faith in Him.  But a person without faith is also not able to acquire strength to reach that state of maturity, because a dark state of the soul makes a stay in the light impossible.  Such a soul can only stay in the environment which is adapted to it's immature state, although it also suffers unspeakably from the darkness.

Through the grace of God, through prayer or loving remembrance of people and help of the higher spirit-beings, the soul nevertheless comes at times into the proximity of a ray of light to excite it's will and to awaken the desire to come into brighter surroundings.  And every ray of light has some cause, and it is always based on spiritual love-work, therefore it must have a beneficial effect on the souls of darkness.  Incorrigible - i.e. completely unwilling souls - flee from such a ray, but the souls, which feel their darkness oppressively, are infinitely grateful for such a grant and strive to remain in constant connection with the beings who want to help them, although they have not yet recognized their power.  The most manifold instructions now reach the souls, and they are always instructed to lend a helping hand wherever a soul is in dire need ....

Through this, a kind of community soon arises among them, all want to serve each other and ease each other's lot, and this striving begins the ascent.  As soon as a soul has recognized how unspeakably the souls suffer who have not lived according to God's will on earth, it is also ready to help and eagerly tries to make up for what has been neglected by the beings whose lot is likewise self-inflicted darkness.  But the struggle is unspeakably difficult, where no prayer on earth provides relief.  What they miss on earth in works of love, they now miss so painfully, and therefore the admonition goes to you people again and again: Help them through your prayer in the struggle for light .... give them strength through your love to strive for light, and turn your compassion to them, so that also a ray of light shines for them and shows them the way upwards.
