BD 2024 11.8.1941 Admonition to Strength of Faith .... Receive everything from God as it is sent to you. There will come times when you will be tired and despondent and when your faith threatens to become weak. But then just keep to prayer and appeal to God for strength and you will overcome the weakness of faith and all earthly hardship. For God needs strong fighters for the battle against the world, and man only becomes strong by overcoming himself. And therefore make every sacrifice to God; try to abstain from every worldly pleasure; remain deeply inwardly united with God and recognise His great love in the fact that He imposes tests on you by which you shall mature. For the day is drawing ever nearer which calls you to activity. God stands by you in every adversity and therefore it must not depress you. For once God has seized you with His love He will not let you fall, and this faith shall become so strong in you that you will face every earthly adversity without fear and only ever take refuge in Him in prayer. What God sends upon people will shake everyone's peace, and even the believers will doubt His love and think that God has abandoned them. Yet invisibly He stands by them, and He only calls for confidence and hope in His help .... and He will not disappoint them .... Amen
